About This Event
The Utah Junior PGA Championship is the official PGA of America section championship for junior golfers in Utah, awarding the section title in both boys and girls divisions over two competitive rounds at Glen Eagle Golf Course in Cedar Hills. This is one of the most meaningful events on the Utah junior calendar because the section champion earns a direct invitation to compete at the national level. Earning that spot puts a junior on the same stage where Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Jordan Spieth, Justin Thomas, and Lexi Thompson all competed as juniors.
What Advancing Means
The section champion in each division earns an automatic invitation to the Junior PGA Championship at Fields Ranch in Frisco, TX, July 28–31, 2026 — the 50th anniversary of the national championship. Competing at Fields Ranch against the top section champions from across the country is one of the most significant opportunities available to a junior golfer in the United States.
Coach's Take
If your junior is serious about their game, this is the event that separates players who compete from players who compete for something — a section title here opens a door to the national championship that very few juniors ever get to walk through.

Scheduled for early June, this championship falls at a prime point in the junior season when competitive form is peaking and college coaches are actively building their recruiting lists.
